About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Planner - Apparel to join our team at Target. As a key member of our Merchandise Planning team, you will play a critical role in driving sales and profitability across our Apparel categories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute merchandise plans to maximize sales and profitability across Apparel categories.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Buyers, Planners, and Inventory Controllers, to ensure alignment and effective execution of merchandise plans.
  • Manage and analyze sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to inform merchandise planning decisions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of merchandise.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels, stock turns, and other key performance indicators to optimize inventory management and reduce waste.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in merchandise planning, preferably in a large-scale retail environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen, numerical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
