Key Responsibilities

This permanent opportunity suits a driven individual passionate about literacy, leadership, and business management. We're looking for someone who can foster community engagement through creative events, workshops, and learning experiences.

You'll oversee the library, facility hire, cultural programming, and community engagement, managing service points and creating dynamic programs. Your focus will be on connecting people with literacy, culture, and each other.

This hands-on leadership role leads a small, dedicated team in delivering contemporary business plans, driving community engagement, and ensuring cultural hubs are welcoming, innovative, and well-utilised spaces.

The position operates on a flexible roster including regular weekends, based on a roster spanning from Monday through to Sunday; 8.00am to 9.00pm.

We need an enthusiastic and adaptable leader who thrives in dynamic environments, working with diverse teams and leveraging technology.

Our ideal candidate is passionate about lifelong learning, delivering exceptional customer service, and fostering a strong team culture. They should be creative thinkers with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

To succeed, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Library & Information Studies or Arts Administration.
  • Experience in facility management, preferably in libraries or cultural facilities.
  • Proven leadership experience in supervising and developing diverse teams.
  • Project management skills are highly desirable.
  • A current Working with Children Check.
  • A valid Driver’s Licence.
