About the Role

The Resident Field Service Technician will be responsible for providing skilled and efficient maintenance and repair of Komatsu customer equipment in the regional Canberra and Snowy areas. The successful candidate will contribute to a professional team environment by ensuring high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency through their efforts.

Job Responsibilities

The Field Service Technician will be supported not just professionally but personally too. Komatsu offers a range of courses including trade upgrades, which can be completed while being paid. Employees are encouraged to complete two courses per year. Additionally, the company provides a car, phone, laptop/tablet, and laundered uniforms for all field service employees.

Location

The role is located in the regional Canberra and Snowy region.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A Mobile Plant Mechanic Trade Certificate (Cert 3 Mobile Plant) complemented by their mechanical fitter qualification (HD Mechanic/Fitter).
  • Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) experience, preferably with Komatsu equipment, and field service exposure, including breakdowns and diagnostics, within the construction and mining sector.
  • A minimum of C-class licence.
  • Auto electrical experience, qualifications, and diagnostic skills.
  • Working at heights qualification (although not essential).
  • The ability to follow required job scope and critical path.
  • A safety-focused mindset.
  • A good understanding of computer systems and Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to work unsupervised.
  • A proven high level of customer service.
