Chef De Cuisine Opportunity

We are seeking a strong leader to assume the position of Chef de Cuisine, in our fine-dining Italian restaurant. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented Chef with excellent leadership and mentoring skills.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in producing high-end quality food, a history of training and mentoring junior level Chefs and Apprentices, and previous experience supervising/managing large kitchen brigades.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that product quality, presentation, and service levels are of the highest standards at all times. They will also need to demonstrate a genuine interest in training and mentoring, and the ability to rapidly adapt to change and lead change processes as required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Producing high-end quality food
  2. Training and mentoring junior level Chefs and Apprentices
  3. Supervising/managing large kitchen brigades
  4. Rapidly adapting to change and leading change processes

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in producing high-end quality food
  • A history of training and mentoring junior level Chefs and Apprentices
  • Previous experience supervising/managing large kitchen brigades
  • Ability to rapidly adapt to change and lead change processes as required
  • Fine-dining experience preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of broad Italian cuisine
  • Experience in making fresh pasta
  • Ability to present meals with flair and theatre in the dining room
  • Cost control and menu creation experience
  • Thorough knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
  • Formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery
  • Well-developed communication and time management skills
