About the Role

ATCO, a leading global company with diverse products and services across energy infrastructure, housing, transportation, and more, is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join its Sydney-based finance team.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting decision-making and driving business strategy through the provision of financial modelling, project reporting, and financial control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing new financial models, managing, and updating existing project models
  • Performing project due diligence and preparing internal and external presentations
  • Supporting assessment and evaluation of new business opportunities using financial models
  • Contributing to developing presentations, financial budgets, tracking costs, and investigating variances
  • Maintaining the corporate forecasting model for ongoing business planning process
  • Supporting negotiations to protect and enhance ATCO's position

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with financial modelling, and a proven ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.

About You
  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or related technical disciplines, ideally with an MBA or CFA post-graduate education
  • Strong experience as a Commercial or Financial Analyst in a similar role, preferably in an accounting firm, consulting firm, corporate, or renewable project developer
  • Specialist knowledge of project/economic financial evaluation metrics and thresholds
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work effectively individually and in a team
