Job Title

A highly experienced and innovative Senior Underground Mining Specialist is required to lead the planning, design and execution of long-term underground operations. This pivotal role demands technical excellence, strategic foresight and a strong focus on sustainable practices.

About the Role
  • Lead mine planning and design to optimise value and support growth strategy.
  • Act as the Reserve Competent Person, ensuring technical rigour and compliance in ore reserve reporting.
  • Contribute to project studies and expansion planning, ensuring technical inputs are accurate and forward-thinking.
  • Apply expertise in long-hole open stoping with paste backfill to safely maximise ore recovery.
  • Drive collaboration across geology, metallurgy, and operations to align designs with business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to the broader technical team, embedding best-practice planning standards.
About You
  • Extensive experience in mining engineering with demonstrated leadership in underground operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
  • Expertise in long-hole open stoping with paste backfill is essential.
  • Experience as a Competent Person for Ore Reserves (preferably in lithium or similar mineralisation styles).
  • Proven involvement in technical studies (PFS/DFS level) highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in Deswik mine planning software is essential.
