Substation Electrical Engineer

This is an entry-level opportunity for a substation electrical engineer to work in the Power Delivery Substation Department. As an electrical engineer, you will be responsible for performing detailed design of low to extra-high voltage substations.

The successful candidate will support QA/QC for deliverables to clients, learn and adhere to client standards and processes, and work individually or within a team to complete complex and technically challenging designs. Occasional travel may be required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE or BSEET) from an accredited university, preferably with a power option.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 3 months of relevant electrical engineering work experience, including internships or co-ops.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Knowledge of electrical utility substations and familiarity with substation design.
  • Engineer In Training (EIT) certificate or passed the FE exam.
