Data Protection Manager APAC

The primary function of the Data Protection Manager APAC is to ensure global compliance with data protection laws across key Asia-Pacific markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and implement Privacy Impact Assessments for business process changes, ensuring timely delivery and effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor, report, and support remediation of privacy risks and compliance issues across all business units.
  • Provide expert guidance on privacy matters and policy requirements to regional business stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive privacy training programs tailored to meet the needs of each business unit.
Requirements:
  • A relevant degree in law or a related field, along with certification in privacy management.
  • In-depth knowledge of global data protection regulations, including PIPL, Privacy Act, PDPL, and PDPD.
  • Strong understanding of online platforms, big data, and related systems and processes.

Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and promote a culture of accountability within the team by maintaining open communication channels and encouraging transparency.
