About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Youth Care Specialist to join our team at Wellways Australia Limited. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality services to young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to young people, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans, working closely with the young person, their family, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist young people with daily living tasks, such as personal care, domestic activities, and social participation.
  • Encourage and support young people in developing life skills, including healthy eating, hygiene, and decision-making.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a safe and stable living environment.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans and strategies.
Requirements
  • Minimum Certificate 4 in a recognized area, with a willingness to pursue further education and training.
  • Current drivers' license and ability to travel to various locations.
  • Police clearance and Blue Card (no card, no start policy applies).
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check and Yellow Card (no card, no start policy applies).
  • Completed Hope and Healing Framework Foundation Training (provided by Wellways if needed).
  • Current First Aid certification.
