Role Overview

Our Family Preservation Program works with families expecting a child or those with children under 18 to enhance family dynamics, ensuring children can remain safely at home, free from harm and neglect, and receive the best possible start in life. Our services are voluntary and target families at high risk of entering or escalating within the statutory child protection system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide regular in-home support services to families.
  • Conduct initial assessments of family strengths and needs, developing case plans that enhance family resilience and foster positive relationships.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices while collaborating with other services to assist families in shaping their future.
  • Customize support for families using a strengths-based approach to ensure services align with their unique needs.

Qualifications and Experience

As a qualified Social Worker, Psychologist, Case Worker, or Case Manager, you will possess:

  • A relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience in case management within the Child Protection sector.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • A holistic, strengths-based approach to facilitate lasting change.
  • The ability to engage with diverse populations, including the local Aboriginal community.
  • A high level of motivation, professional accountability, integrity, and a belief in the potential of every parent.
