Job Title: Substation Training Program Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Substation Training Program Coordinator to design, deliver, and continuously improve training pathways for substation apprentices and technicians.

The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert on substation systems, ensuring our workforce is trained to the highest standard of safety, compliance, and technical excellence.

  • Develop structured training pathways for substation apprentices and technicians.
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to ensure training is current and relevant.
  • Oversee program compliance, audits, and continuous improvement.
  • Support trainers delivering substation programs, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Promote programs externally through industry forums and recognition schemes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop comprehensive training plans for substation apprentices and technicians.
  • Collaborate with external partners to identify training needs and opportunities.
  • Manage program budgets and resources effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Contribute to the development of organizational policies and procedures related to training and development.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in substation operations and maintenance within the energy sector.
  • A Certificate III Electrotechnology plus Certificate IV TAE (or willingness to obtain).
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs.
  • Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
