A highly respected service provider in the public sector seeks a seasoned Senior Management Accountant to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making across various business lines.

Role Overview:

  • This pivotal role will be integral in collaborating with different business lines to enhance financial transparency and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Closely partner with business line leaders to provide actionable financial insights that inform business decisions and drive performance improvements.
  2. Develop accurate and timely financial reports, analyzing variances and providing forecasts and comprehensive analyses.
  3. Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  4. Implement and oversee effective financial controls and governance processes.
  5. Provide training and support to non-financial managers on budget management and financial understanding.
  6. Continuously improve financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, CIMA, or equivalent) is required.
  • Several years of experience in management accounting within a complex, multifaceted organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building strong working relationships across various departments.
