Key Leadership Role in Disability Support

The Floor Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support services to individuals with disabilities within our NDIS-supported living apartments.

This key leader works closely with nursing and personal care assistant staff, management teams, and participants to ensure 24/7 coverage and excellent care services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management:
    • Supervise and mentor nursing and personal care assistant staff, providing guidance, support, and direction.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and coaching sessions to enhance staff skills and morale.
  • Participant Care Coordination:
    • Collaborate with clinical and residential services teams to coordinate care plans and support services tailored to individual needs.
    • Monitor participant well-being and adjust care plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure adherence to NDIS guidelines and quality standards by conducting regular audits and inspections.
    • Verify documentation accuracy and completeness to maintain a transparent and accountable service delivery.
  • Staff Training and Development:
    • Facilitate ongoing training opportunities for staff members to enhance their knowledge and skills.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation, encouraging staff to explore new approaches and ideas.
  • Communication and Reporting:
    • Maintain open communication channels with management, staff, and participants to ensure seamless collaboration and information exchange.
    • Document participant progress and incidents accurately and in a timely manner.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or degree in disability services, nursing, social work, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in disability support services or healthcare settings, with a focus on leadership and team management.
  • Strong understanding of NDIS principles and person-centred approaches, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
