Backend Software Engineer Position

Our focus is on the supply chain industry, which faces significant hurdles due to e-commerce growth, rising costs, and supply chain disruptions. This sector, once 'sleepy', has become crucial for sustaining the global economy.

As a staff backend software engineer, you'll play a key role in developing and scaling the core services that power our system. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software and firmware engineers, to create critical command and control functionality.

Our team prioritizes functional, reliable, and performant software development. You'll contribute to the long-term success of our core software stack by leading the development of path planning, storage planning, and system optimization functionalities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor software development to power our system's operation
  • Design and implement automated tests to ensure high-quality software releases and accurate functionality
  • Work closely with the firmware team to integrate bots seamlessly into our service
  • Deliver high-quality code across various hardware and cloud environments
  • Develop, test, and document software

Requirements

  • Strong experience with common backend languages, with recent Python expertise
  • Experience with path planning algorithms
  • Knowledge of inventory placement optimization strategies
  • Background in developing highly available and reliable systems
  • Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and HIL testing
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Collaborative approach and sense of ownership in software development
