Asset Management Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Management Engineer to join our Water Group's Asset Management and Planning (AMP) team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in enhancing our capabilities and delivering projects that benefit our communities.
This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with talented professionals on iconic projects, driving future-ready outcomes that benefit clients and communities. Our Water team promotes holistic, sustainable water resource management for governments, investors, developers, manufacturers, utilities, and corporations.
You will be responsible for developing contingency and rehabilitation strategies and plans, operational procedures, asset class plans, renewal, capital expenditure and whole of life asset costing schedules and business case development.
Additionally, you will develop asset registers, including asset numbering and naming conventions, and conduct asset condition assessments, including qualitative desktop assessments, quantitative field works, stress analysis, and statistical analysis.
Other key responsibilities include implementing risk assessments, root cause analysis, FMECA, failure mode and failure mechanism analysis, and project management skills assessment of water balance and economic level of leakage using non-revenue models.
You will also be responsible for asset reliability analyses, optimization of maintenance schedules and water network operations, application of geographical information systems, and advanced analytics and optimization modelling.
We are looking for a candidate with a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent, and proven relevant asset management experience. You should have an excellent understanding of hydraulic principles, materials assessment, and pipe materials knowledge.
Previous Australian utility sector experience is an advantage, as is excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific experience in writing quality technical reports. You should also be willing to broaden your experience in the asset inspection and design disciplines.
