Overview of the Role
The Communications Advisor - Social Media position offers an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team and contribute to shaping our public presence across all major social media platforms. As part of this role, you will be responsible for developing best practice digital content, providing expert advice backed by insights and analytics, and supporting social listening and community management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective social media strategies to amplify research, thought leadership and student life
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to create engaging digital content that meets organisational objectives
- Provide expert advice on social media trends, best practices and platform-specific features
- Support social listening and community management initiatives to protect and position the RMIT brand
- Identify emerging and unmet needs and develop solutions through data analysis and stakeholder engagement
Requirements
- Proven experience in social media functions, including content development and social media metrics analysis
- Demonstrated expertise in communications planning, delivery and measurement
- Ability to work with data and stakeholders to identify opportunities and develop solutions
- Excellent communication skills and passion for delivering creative and impactful communications experiences
- Strong visual communication skills, including photography and video production
