IT Program Manager Job Summary

The IT Program Manager plays a crucial role in delivering state-wide digital health record infrastructure solutions that support the lifecycle of NSW Health programs. This position ensures ICT/digital projects are executed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

This role offers the opportunity to lead complex and high-impact digital programs that enhance patient care through improved data and infrastructure. The successful candidate will work across multiple health organisations and vendors, utilising project management frameworks, risk tracking systems, and reporting platforms to drive delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of ICT/digital initiatives aligned to SDPR's strategic objectives
  • Oversee the planning and execution of large-scale digital health projects, from business case to go-live
  • Develop risk management strategies and ensure benefit realisation and continuous improvement
  • Engage with senior stakeholders and vendors to ensure alignment and collaboration across the health system
  • Lead a high-performing project team to deliver outcomes in a fast-paced, complex environment
About You:

We seek an individual with:

  • Significant experience leading large ICT or digital transformation programs in a complex, matrixed organisation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills to influence outcomes
  • A proven ability to manage high-performing multifunctional teams and embed a positive workplace culture
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in ICT, project management or related fields
  • A demonstrated record of delivering digital health or large infrastructure projects in a public sector or health setting
