Support Worker Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced support worker to join our team in providing mental health services. If you have a passion for improving the lives of individuals living with mental disorders, this could be the role for you.
As a support worker, you will provide one-to-one and group support to individuals in their own homes and communities, helping them develop skills and abilities needed to gain independence and complete daily tasks.
You will work closely with individuals to meet their specific needs, according to established behavioral support plans, and help them work towards individual goals. This will involve developing professional relationships with individuals, their families, and others in the community.
To succeed in this role, you should have excellent listening skills, an adaptable communication style, and be patient, emotionally resilient, and able to advocate for others. Relevant experience in mental health support or working with disadvantaged individuals is essential.
This position involves working on a flexible roster, which may include night shifts and weekend work. All staff must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and meet compliance requirements, including NDIS Work Screening, Working With Children's Check, and possession of a current and valid driver's license.
