Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct safety in design reviews at various stages of the lifecycle, utilizing appropriate risk methodologies and design principles.
  • Support capital and procurement processes to ensure 'right first time' safety outcomes.
  • Lead and influence the internal/external audit program to maintain world-class safety management systems outcomes.
  • Provide oversight and direction to the ecosystem by identifying best practices and communicating learnings and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of work experience in a safety engineer or equivalent role.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field, registered (or can be registered within 6 months) under a state-based professional engineering board.
  • In-depth understanding and demonstrable experience with AS/NZ 4024 and familiarity with EU Machine Directive 2006/42/EC.
  • Strong experience with industry-leading Safety in Design frameworks and relevant AU/NZ and ISO Standards.
