Technical Safety and Risk Lead Opportunity

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Technical Safety and Risk Lead to join our Operations business in Perth, Australia. This is a pivotal role as we partner with a major player in the Oil & Gas industry on a major brownfields Engineering Service Contract.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position available on a part-time (job share) basis. As a Technical Safety and Risk Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and ensuring the delivery of safe and reliable engineering services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers in the delivery of technical safety and risk services
  • Develop and implement technical safety and risk strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and industry standards
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their technical safety and risk requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to engineers and other stakeholders on technical safety and risk matters
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience working in a similar technical safety and risk role, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team and collaborate with clients and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards, with the ability to apply technical practices, codes, and standards
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to manage risk and deliver solutions that meet client needs
