Job Title: Fishing Crew

We are seeking experienced and skilled individuals to join our fishing crew in Buderim, QLD 4556. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for various tasks related to fishing and seafood processing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in unloading fresh seafood product from vessels
  • Move seafood product to chillers, freezers, and live tanks
  • Sort, dress, and fillet fish with high recovery rates
  • Sort, clean, and retrieve meat from shellfish and crustaceans
  • Load seafood products into trucks
  • Pack boned and filleted seafood into cartons
  • Inspect and grade fish and shellfish for size and quality
  • Pack fish and count packs before freezing, and pack frozen fish blocks into cartons
  • Operate machines that slice, peel, skin, crumb, and package seafood product
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year's Australian work experience in catching and handling crab
  • Verifiable letters of reference or sea-time/log book
  • Ability to work in heavy seas and cramped spaces
  • Strong physical fitness and ability to lift heavy loads
