The Opportunity:
We are seeking an Algae Supply Service professional to join our team in Hobart, Tasmania. As part of our Australian National Algae Culture Collection (ANACC) initiative, this role will focus on managing the Australian National Algae Supply Service (ANASS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and deliver exceptional satisfaction.
- Coordinate tasks for ANASS, including data collection and analysis, user research, and user experience enhancements.
- Contribute to interpreting and communicating research results, collaborating on presentations and reports, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage algal culture systems, develop experimental methods, and procure laboratory equipment.
- Participate in defining research problems and addressing them promptly, ensuring timely solutions.
Requirements:
- Relevant bachelor's degree and equivalent work experience in phycology or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of microalgae biology and taxonomic understanding, with expertise in aseptic microbiological techniques and quality control methods.
- Proven experience in customer or stakeholder engagement, with a focus on building long-term relationships.
