About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Alstom's Dandenong Manufacturing Site. As a Welder, you will be responsible for executing MAG welding on mild steel and stainless steel in all positions, adhering to welding procedure specifications (WPS), and assembling and inspecting finished products to ensure defined quality levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing MAG welding on mild steel and stainless steel in all positions
  • Adhering to welding procedure specifications (WPS)
  • Assembling and inspecting finished products to ensure defined quality levels
  • Material handling and setup of production equipment
  • Cleanliness and maintenance of working areas and production equipment
  • Respecting task time and quality levels
  • Working with jigs and fixtures
  • Identifying parts as required by operating instructions
  • Monitoring production processes and carrying out basic testing and quality checks
  • Compliance with EHS rules

Requirements:

  • Australian recognised Certificate III in Fabrication (mandatory)
  • Previous experience with MIG welding
  • Problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment
