At Alstom, we're seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at our Dandenong Manufacturing Site. As a Welder, you'll be responsible for executing MAG welding on mild steel and stainless steel in all positions, adhering to welding procedure specifications (WPS) and ability to read engineering drawings/weld symbols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing MAG welding on mild steel and stainless steel in all positions.
  • Assembling and inspecting finished products to ensure defined quality levels on time.
  • Material handling and setting up production equipment: machines and workstations.
  • Cleaning and maintaining working areas and production equipment.
  • Respecting task time and quality levels.
  • Working with jigs/fixtures and identifying parts as required by the operating instruction.
  • Monitoring the production process and carrying out basic testing and quality checks.
  • Complying with EHS rules.

Requirements:

  • Australian recognised Certificate III in Fabrication (mandatory).
  • Previous experience with MIG welding.
  • Problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail are crucial for success in this position.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
