Childrens Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated support worker to provide individualised and group-based support for children and young people with complex disability needs in a specialist school environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement engaging, developmentally appropriate programs aligned with participants' NDIS goals
- Maintain a high level of supervision and ensure safety and wellbeing at all times
- Work in a collaborative team environment within staff-to-participant ratio
- Support daily routines, transitions and positive behaviour strategies
- Complete documentation and reporting in line with NDIS and internal quality requirements
- Previous experience and confidence in the disability support and childcare sector is ideal but not essential
- Working towards or holding a relevant qualification at a minimum of Certificate III level in one of the following areas: Education, Community and Social Services, Health and Medical, Disability and Aged Care, or Allied Health
- Must be available to work service hours: 7:00am–9:00am, 2:30pm–6:00pm, and during school holiday periods (8:30am–5:30pm)
- Employee Working with Children’s Check valid in Victoria
- Valid HLTAID012 First Aid in a Childcare Setting (including First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training)
- NDIS Orientation Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Mandatory Reporting Certificate
- Proof of Right to work in Australia
