We are seeking a highly skilled Field Services Technician to join our team. This role involves high-level customer service, satisfying managed services and maintenance agreement needs for government and enterprise sectors.
The successful candidate will participate in daily support activities, providing high-quality and high-value support services to the Vic 000 MMR radio network. Responsibilities include asset management, repairs, and logistics within the Field Services team.
This role requires strong relationships with functional teams, particularly with the Operations Manager, Lead Operations Engineer, and engineering staff. The successful candidate must work closely with NOCC, Service Delivery Manager, National Support Services Manager, customers, and sub-contractors to identify operational issues and priorities.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Maintaining operational processes, disciplines, and escalating issues internally and externally as needed to ensure compliant customer service.
- Owning and resolving operational issues, including incident reports and follow-up action items from incidents, change management, problem management, both internally and externally.
- Identifying and implementing areas for improvement to ensure improved service quality and best practice delivery.
- Complying with Motorola Quality policies and practices.
- Interacting with other internal business units in supporting Vic MMR.
- Supporting subscriber devices deployed within the Vic MMR, which may include installations of portable, mobile, and fixed terminals, asset management, support in the QA of supplied devices and installations, when required.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Certificate III or IV in Electronics/Radio Trades or relevant trade qualification (in communications, radio, or electronics) or Certificate IV in Telecommunications Networks Technology.
- An ACMA Open Cabler License.
Demonstrated experience in a radio communication service environment, understanding RF principles, antenna system multicoupling, and network IP configuration/TCNT/CompTIA/CCNA would be highly beneficial.
A strong customer and team focus, excellent communication skills, and a drive for total customer satisfaction are essential for this role.
This position requires a reasonable degree of physical fitness and agility to carry test equipment and access equipment on site.
