The Role

Our Australian head office is based in Perth, Western Australia. We are seeking a Senior Site Engineer to work on our international site-based projects. The successful candidate will travel to site from their home base.

The Senior Site Engineer is responsible for:

  • Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on all aspects of TSF construction and other mine infrastructure (earthworks and geotechnical focus).
  • Liaising effectively with contractors, focusing on site-based consultation and prompt issue resolutions with appropriate design office support/verification.
  • Carrying out project and QA/QC management, coordination for all earthworks and HDPE lining activities.
  • Supporting the successful implementation and delivery of project scope.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree qualification in Engineering with either Geotechnical or Civil specializations.
  • A minimum of 10 years relevant work experience within the mining industry, with experience in tailings dam or earth fill dam construction being essential.
  • A strong understanding of earthworks QA/QC requirements.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Experience working on international mining projects on a fly-in/fly-out roster.
  • A proven track record of on-site project management/supervision and client liaison, with the ability to maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • A commitment to traveling internationally.
