Senior Site Engineer

The Role

Knight Piésold's head office in Australia is in Perth, Western Australia. We are looking for a Senior Site Engineer to work on our international site-based projects. The Senior Construction Supervisor will travel to site from their home base.

The Senior Site Engineer is responsible for:

• Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on all aspects of the TSF construction and other mine infrastructure (earthworks and geotechnical focus).
• Liaising effectively with contractors with focus on site-based consultation and prompt issue resolutions with appropriate design office support/verification.
• Carrying out project and QA/QC management, coordination for all earthworks and HDPE lining activities.
• Supporting the successful implementation and delivery of project scope.

Our Ideal Candidate

The successful candidates will ideally have:

• Degree qualification in Engineering with either Geotechnical or Civil specialisations;
• Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience within the mining industry and experience with tailings dam or earth fill dam construction would be essential;
• A strong understanding of earthworks QA/QC requirements;
• Excellent communication and reporting skills;
• Experience working on international mining projects on a fly in / fly out roster.
• A proven track record on site project management / supervision and client liaison and able to demonstrate ability to maintain relationships with stakeholders; and
• A commitment to travel internationally.
