Court Associate

Work with Honourable Justice Tinney in the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court. This opportunity offers valuable experience and a chance to contribute to the legal process.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with proofreading and editing tasks
- Maintain court records and prepare material for the Judge
- Clerking in court, including empanelling juries, taking verdicts, and arraigning the accused
- Liaise with court staff, the public, media, and professionals
- Accompany the Judge to circuit courts as required
The ideal candidate will have completed a law degree or be near completion. Post-admission experience is not essential but an interest in becoming an advocate is desirable.
Requirements- Strong academic record
- Excellent proofreading, editing, typing, and computer skills
- Advanced organisational capacity
- Proficiency in English grammar
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- A keen appreciation of the Court's work and the role of an associate
