Principal Governance Adviser

Our organization's regulator oversees the Victorian legal profession, licensing lawyers and ensuring service standards and conduct.

We handle complaints about lawyers, investigate poor conduct, and oversee trust accounts to maintain public trust.

We are stewards of public purpose and fidelity funds, administering them to support regulation and access to justice in Victoria.

As a modern best practice regulator, we use data and insights to identify areas where our actions can have the greatest impact on ensuring ethical and professional legal practice by Victorian lawyers.

The Principal Governance Adviser will play a key role in advising senior leaders on governance matters and ensuring decisions, systems, and processes align with our objectives.

This position requires a strategic operational leadership background, experience in establishing effective relationships at senior levels, and demonstrated expertise in providing high-level advice on governance matters.

A formal qualification in Business, Corporate Governance, or Risk Management is advantageous for success in this role.
