The Role

We're seeking a skilled Credit Consultant to join our team. As a Credit Consultant, you'll play a crucial role in coordinating and facilitating credit applications from under review through to pre-approval.

Key Responsibilities

  • Loan Assessment: Review and assess a large volume of pre-qualified loan applications against multiple lender's credit policies.
  • Document Review: Analyze and validate supporting documents provided by the customer, leveraging Driva AI.
  • Due Diligence: Undertake due diligence in accordance with credit policies and procedures to ensure the loan matches customer needs and supporting documentation meets credit policy requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with team members cross-functionally to progress applications through to completion, including handover to our Settlements Team to finalise applications.
  • External Stakeholder Engagement: Develop key working relationships with lenders to finalise approvals and increase conversion from lodgement to approval.
  • Compliance Adherence: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal company policy in relation to documentation, fact finds and preliminary assessments.
  • Professional Development: Continuously update knowledge on products, technologies, credit policies and regulatory changes impacting loans.

Requirements

  • Previous experience (ideally 2+ years experience) in Asset Finance.
  • Certificate IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking.
  • Sound understanding of Financial Services.
  • Exposure to CRM (Salesforce preferred but would consider other software experience).
  • Eagerness to learn and exceed targets.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Passion for the industry and a strong desire to help customers.

Preferred

  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Economics or Finance.
  • Experience in Fintech or within another startup.
