Overview of the Role

Euromonitor International is seeking a talented Market Development Expert to join their Sydney-based research team. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Multi-vertical regional (APAC) and global teams, as well as global heads of industries and the Head of the Multi-vertical Vertical.

The role involves working on the research and commercial development of industries within the Vertical, which encompasses various sectors such as Food & Nutrition, Drinks & Tobacco, Beauty & Fashion, Consumer Services & Payments, Home Appliances, Electronics, and Technology.

As a Market Development Expert, you will have the opportunity to develop in-depth expertise in these industries, including studying the ecosystem, regulation, and government policies. You will also work closely with respective heads of industries and wider Multi-vertical regional and global teams to advance the research agenda, utilize industry-leading analytics tools, strengthen client relationships, and provide strategic analysis through Passport content and PR efforts.

Brief Scope of Work

  • Market Research: Collaborate with trade associations, prominent companies, and internal Euromonitor associates to develop insights into research objectives.
  • Data Analytics: Validate market data, synthesize complex information from multiple sources, and produce clear takeaways and actionable insights.
  • Market Consulting: Provide consulting services based on client objectives, including guidance on go-to-market strategies, pricing tactics, new product development, channel optimization, and competitor analysis.
  • Client Engagement: Engage with clients to build trust and long-term relationships through insights-driven conversations, formal presentations, and regular communication.
  • Project Execution: Ensure project execution excellence by reviewing generated materials, validating data and analysis, and aligning them with client objectives.

Requirements

  • Hybrid work arrangements.
  • Relevant experience of 2 to 5 years in FMCG research space.
  • A proven track record in primary and secondary research.
  • Superb numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Creativity, tenacity, and curiosity.
  • Opinionated, able to make decisions, and willing to take responsibility for decisions made.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Fluent oral and written English.
