About this role

This is a permanent part-time opportunity to provide patient-focused care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role involves working with an interprofessional healthcare team to achieve optimal health outcomes, undertaking delegated activities, and maintaining individual accountability within the scope of practice.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out responsibilities according to Schedule 2, Nurses, and Midwives (Queensland Health Award Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 3) in line with Queensland Health commitments and values to achieve organizational goals and Domains of Practice.
  • Practice according to the code of ethics, professional standards, and legislation affecting nursing practice, maintaining current knowledge and competence within the scope of the position.
  • Contribute to patient assessment and care by practicing within the Scope of Practice as an Enrolled Nurse, implementing delegated aspects of the care plan, and providing information for evaluating progress towards expected outcomes.
  • Respond appropriately to sudden changes in patient health status and report these to the Registered Nurse.
