Program Benefits Specialist Job Description

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Program Benefits Management Professional to undertake a range of activities to support the effective and efficient management of benefits and risks for the Client's Program.

This role will work closely with leadership teams to ensure actions are followed up and completed on time. It will also involve managing other strategic activities for the Program as required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Updating associated documentation, including benefit profiles and registers, and facilitating benefit and risk workshops to review and update program benefits and risks.
  • Enhancing benefits reporting capability to meet internal and external requirements.
  • Supporting the Program to develop an approach to benefits management that aligns with scaled agile methodologies.
  • Building strong and effective relationships with stakeholders, including internal stakeholders, to build understanding and commitment to benefits realisation and ongoing management.
  • Supporting building program management capability within the Program Management Office team.
  • Contributing to team planning, coordination, and workflow management, shaping the team's work program in alignment with Program objectives.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in benefits management and program management in a large-scale program in the federal government context.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience in managing quality assurance (writing, editing, proof reading) of high volumes of correspondence, briefs, and reports.
  • Confidence and ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and negotiate with team members, business areas, and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues to achieve considered outcomes.
  • Experience effectively managing competing priorities and strategic directions when achieving planning and project outcomes in line with agency goals and objectives.
  • Experience with Agile IT delivery, including SAFe ScaledAgile Framework.
