Early Childhood Centre Leadership Role

The role of a Centre Director is pivotal in shaping the educational and emotional experiences of young children.


As the leader of an independent early childhood service, you will be responsible for fostering a diverse community and driving a strong, play-based educational program. Our Educators are experienced, long-tenured, and deeply connected with our families.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure children's safety and wellbeing, aligning with national standards and regulations.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, maintaining compliance and documentation.
  • Coach, roster, and develop a high-performing team; respond to staff needs with calm, solutions-focused leadership.
  • Build trusting relationships with families and the local community.
  • Partner with the Educational Leader to evolve a flexible, inclusive early years learning framework.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to contribute to the service's quality improvement plan and continuous development.

Requirements
  • Hold a relevant Early Childhood qualification (Diploma or ECT).
  • Hold necessary certifications, including WWCC, National Police Check, Child Protection training, First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications, and Food Safety Supervisor certification.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
