Geological Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced geologist to join our team in Brisbane. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for planning and managing field operations, including supervising drilling activities and managing data flow from the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning field programmes
  • Managing field operations, including supervising drilling activities
  • Managing data flow from the field using quality assurance/quality control protocols
  • Interpreting data and generating sections and 3D geological models
  • Reporting on results, including completion of statutory reports
  • Conducting geological mapping and reconnaissance work
  • Presenting to the wider team at technical forums

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in geology or related field
  • Experience with hard rock exploration (IOCG, sediment-hosted)
  • Experience with diamond, mud rotary, and RC drilling, logging, and QA/QC
  • Remote area first aid certification
  • Supervisor training
  • 4WD training and defensive driver course
  • Operational strengths, including logistics, coordination, contractor management, supervision
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
