Cloud Architecture Expert

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to join our team in shaping and delivering a strategy to build mind share and broad use of cloud services with strategic accounts.

This role involves managing ongoing technical relationships and driving technical solution discussions. As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Develop deep expertise in cloud technologies and broaden your knowledge of how applications and services are built on the AWS platform;
  • Drive technical solution discussions, dive into details with customer teams, and craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures;
  • Build relationships with customers and partners, act as a trusted technical advisor, and influence stakeholders from technical teams to executives;
  • Accelerate adoption of cloud services while aligning short-term technology decisions with long-term goals;
  • Act as a thought leader by educating others, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers/blogs, and running workshops;
  • Collaborate with engineering and service teams to gather customer feedback and shape product direction;

You will work with customers in various sectors, including the Australian Government, National Security, and Defence, handling highly sensitive, time-critical work and strategic outcomes.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 7+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in software or Internet industries;
  • 4+ years in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics;
  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures;

Prior experience in software development or Internet-related industries, migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud, working with cloud technologies from a dev/ops perspective, and communicating with technical and non-technical audiences is preferred.
