Operations Director

We are seeking a skilled Operations Director to drive business growth, efficiency and safety in our operations. This role will lead strategic initiatives, embed a culture of continuous improvement and ensure our systems and processes reflect industry best practice.
About the Role- Safety Leadership: Champion a safety-first culture and embed Zero Harm principles to minimize risk and enhance workplace safety.
- Performance Excellence: Execute site improvement plans aligned with business strategy to drive operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Team Development: Coach and mentor high-performing teams to enhance capability and engagement.
- Process Optimization: Leverage systems and technology to drive efficiency and cultural uplift.
- Resource Management: Oversee budgets, optimize costs and maximize resource utilization to achieve business objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance DIFOT performance and drive innovation.
- A proven track record of leadership experience in manufacturing, construction materials or FMCG.
- Strong people engagement and coaching capabilities.
- Excellent communication and business acumen.
- Experience leading large, multi-shift teams.
- Familiarity with systems such as ERP (e.g. SAP) and reporting and analysis tools (e.g. Qlik).
- Financial and operational decision-making capability.
- A proactive mindset that challenges the status quo and drives innovation.
