
Senior Manager of Employee Relations and WHS Compliance

This role entails driving best practices in workforce management, enabling employee self-service, and ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
You will lead the enterprise-wide case management approach for employee relations, provide expert guidance on complex matters, and govern WHS compliance frameworks.
Your work will directly support the organisation's wellbeing and inclusion strategy, ensuring that all employer obligations are met and that employees and leaders are educated, empowered, and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically lead the implementation and continuous improvement of ER and WHS policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Be the subject matter expert for employee relations matters, providing risk-based advice to senior leaders and ensuring consistent, fair, and legally compliant outcomes.
- Lead the enterprise-wide ER case management approach, including oversight of investigations, grievance handling, disciplinary processes, and reporting as required.
- Partner with senior leaders to shape the organisation's approach to employee wellbeing, inclusion, and safety.
- Develop and deliver capability uplift programs for people leaders, focusing on ER case management, WHS responsibilities, and psychologically safe leadership.
- Generate actionable insights from ER and WHS data to inform proactive interventions.
- Oversight and governance of the WHS compliance framework to ensure alignment with legislative requirements and best practice standards.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require a tertiary qualification in Employment Law and/or Human Resources or equivalent expertise in Employment Relations and Work, Health & Safety. Significant proven experience in employee relations and workplace health & safety is also essential.
