Psychologist Opportunity

We are seeking a Psychologist to join our Allied Health and Day Rehabilitation teams on a casual basis, at Burwood.

The ideal candidate will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team that provides evidenced-based care to patients, ensuring practice is in accordance with the Psychology Board of Australia Code of Ethics and relevant policies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides advanced level Psychology services including a range of individualised and group clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required.
  • Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning monitoring consumer progress adjusting treatment accordingly for complex management.
  • Liaises with multi-disciplinary teams to promote effective communication including verbal and written feedback to referring doctors.
  • Familiar and complies with legal, ethical responsibilities to consumers, visitors and staff, inclusive of maintaining confidentiality.

Candidates will have experience providing group programs and individual therapy to child, adolescent and adult consumers presenting with various concerns, demonstrate clinical leadership skills and ability to undertake quality improvement activities.

Successful applicants will hold tertiary qualifications in Psychology and current registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Experience running groups and providing individual therapy using DBT and Schema-Focused Therapy will be highly regarded.
