Senior Risk Assurance Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Assurance Specialist to join our Risk Assurance team at MLC Limited.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for independently monitoring, challenging and supporting the performance of MLC Limited with respect to key strategic initiatives and enterprise risk management and compliance frameworks.
You will also assist the team in delivering regular targeted controls training to our business stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Performing systemic reviews and deep dives of the implementation of the risk and compliance management frameworks and processes across the enterprise to ensure risk is managed within appetite
- Supporting the team in reporting on those reviews to the Executive Leadership Team and Board
- Conducting independent control testing and identifying opportunities to simplify the controls environment
- Promoting a positive risk culture and supporting business stakeholders comply with MLC Limited Risk Minimum Standards
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of MLC Limited Risk Minimum Standards, Processes and Procedures
- Any other task as requested by the Senior Manager, Assurance and/or General Manager Risk
You Will Be:
- A strong understanding of risk management principles including control design, implementation and assessment
- Effective time management and proven ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
- Highly developed collaboration skills with the ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver business as usual monitoring outcomes
- A demonstrated ability to successfully manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail
