Job Title: Fibreglass Operations Manager

The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals in the production and distribution of high-quality fibreglass swimming pools. The role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and experience in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a safety-first culture at the facility
  • Manage the facility team and their activities
  • Recruit and onboard new employees
  • Maintain quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of operations through investigation, analysis, and problem-solving
  • Partner with senior management to implement safety, quality, and cost initiatives across the facility
  • Build relationships with franchisees to manage pool deliveries
  • Maintain high levels of quality in supplied pools
  • Work with the inventory team to maintain accurate records and ensure resource availability for pool production
  • Develop and implement standardised processes with site supervisors and team members
  • Implement improvement projects spanning Safety, Process, Quality, People, and Cost

Requirements:

  • 5 years' experience in team leadership and management
  • Experience in manufacturing environments
  • Excellent communication and delegation skills
  • Personal effectiveness/interaction – self-manages and demonstrates diplomacy when dealing with difficult people or colleagues from diverse cultures
  • Problem-solving skills, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a sense of urgency
  • Coping and time management skills – able to manage high workloads under pressure and time constraints
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Manufacturing Systems
  • Strong experience with transport and logistics, meeting distribution targets
  • Proven track record of hiring, training, and developing teams to deliver results
  • Fibreglass and lean manufacturing experience preferred but not essential
