Job Description:

The primary objective of this role is to augment the King of the Hills Mineral Resource base through meticulous planning and supervision of drilling activities. This involves maintaining accurate geology, structural, and mineralisation models.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure adherence to safe work systems/procedures, thereby minimizing risk to employees and contractors.
  2. Conduct thorough orebody interpretation, modelling, and extension via drill programs.
  3. Extend the Mineral Resource through the design and implementation of extensional drill programmes.
  4. Collaborate with production geology and exploration teams for comprehensive understanding of orebody and regional mineralisation.
  5. Maintain and interpret orebody, lithology, and structural models, and generate wireframe models.
  6. Provide regular reports on extensional drilling and monitor/log drill programs for orebody delineation.
  7. Communicate geological and geotechnical data with mining teams and management effectively.
  8. Update plans and sections with new drilling data and ensure quality control for drilling programs.
  9. Assist with general on-site/underground operations and resource model updates as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in Geology (BSc. Geology or Applied Geology)
  • Minimum 3+ years post-graduate experience in an exploration or production environment (preferably narrow vein)
  • Previous experience working with gold deposits
  • Experience in resource estimation is advantageous
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of exploration and resource definition programme design and execution, and 3D modelling techniques
  • Advanced proficiency with Vulcan, Leapfrog (or similar) software
  • Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor accreditation desirable
  • WA Driver's Licence - C Class
