Job Title: Engineering Skill Stream Lead

Job Description:

This is a key role within the Central Engineering team, responsible for developing and supporting the engineering workforce in various skill areas.

  • Mechanical & Structural Engineering - This involves structural and mechanical aspects of products, including design, analysis, and integrity management across the product lifecycle.
  • Production Engineering - Ensuring efficient and effective build, delivery, post-production, modification, and recovery of Boeing products and their supply chains.
  • Industrial Engineering - Innovating, developing, evaluating, and implementing methods or systems to support manufacturing processes.
  • Manufacturing - Supporting manufacturing operations, including test and delivery.
  • Engineering & Systems Support Analysis - Influencing supportability design, identifying user support requirements, and performing support analysis.
  • Retrofit, Repairs, Modifications & Maintenance - Managing retrofit and repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Advise individuals on career and development goals.
  • Identify engineering talent and support staff movements and promotions.
  • Develop, review, and approve training materials and development artifacts.
  • Provide reports and recommendations regarding engineering capability development.
  • Build relationships with Functional Chiefs.
  • Manage key engineering governance and performance measures.
  • Execute Engineering Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Support gate reviews and technical design reviews.
  • Strengthen relevant Areas of Practice across the business.
  • Ensure timely resourcing and decision-making for key technical issue resolution and project support.
