About the Position

We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate individuals who can respond effectively to reports of safety concerns surrounding children or young people at risk of harm. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing personalized safety plans and conducting thorough risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and sensitively to reports about potential harm, working collaboratively with families, children, and young people to ensure their well-being.
  • Develop and implement tailored safety plans, leveraging your knowledge of social work principles and best practices.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential threats and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Manage complex cases, drawing upon your expertise to navigate high-needs and high-risk situations.
  • Play an active role in court processes, including the preparation of documentation and attendance at hearings.
  • Engage in regular supervision and professional development to enhance your skills and stay up-to-date on industry developments.

What We're Looking For

  • A confident, curious, and resilient individual with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in child protection, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with families, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • A valid driver's license (P1 or above) and a paid working with children clearance number.
