Production Planning Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of products by coordinating activities with Production, Engineering and Purchasing teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning and control, with experience in JIT, MRP, CRP, Lean and ISO 9000 processes. They will also possess excellent organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with superiors, peers and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and verifying drawing and material availability prior to release for manufacture.
  • Closely coordinating with the Scheduler on internal, customer and vendor schedules.
  • Staging and completing materials prior to job release.
  • Coordinating between Production, Engineering and Purchasing teams.
  • Tracking and reporting progress to schedule.
