About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Care Worker. In this dynamic role, you will provide direct support and care to young people residing in our homes throughout Warrnambool.

Your day will involve teaching life skills, supporting social and emotional development, and providing assistance with daily tasks such as household duties and case notes. You will also work closely with a House Supervisor and a dedicated team of professionals who will guide and support you in your role.

This position requires resilience, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young people. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and supportive environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support and care to young people in residential settings
  • Teach life skills and promote social and emotional development
  • Assist with daily tasks such as household duties and case notes
  • Work collaboratively with a House Supervisor and other team members
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care) or similar qualification
  • A valid driver's licence and workers with children's check
  • A satisfactory criminal history check and NDIS worker screening check
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values
  • The ability to work a 24/7 roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
