Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Traffic Management Specialist to lead our traffic management efforts and ensure the safe and efficient movement of people and goods.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective traffic management strategies to minimize disruptions and optimize project timelines
  • Collaborate with engineers and managers to design and coordinate temporary traffic management plans
  • Review and analyze traffic data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure open communication and collaboration
  • Provide technical guidance and support to site personnel on road safety, traffic engineering, and traffic management
  • Assist with preparation of site construction budgets and reports, specifically in relation to traffic management
  • Utilize effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ensure all site works are carried out in accordance with approved plans and conforming to road safety standards
  • Supervise, plan, and review the work undertaken by traffic contractors and engineers
  • Demonstrate skills in reporting on traffic engineering performance, compliance, and defects

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Post graduate experience in traffic management and civil/infrastructure/rail construction
  • Experience working on major rail or infrastructure projects
  • Project Engineer and operational experience
  • Expertise knowledge of traffic management, plans, specifications, guidelines, and standards
  • Advanced commercial acumen including cost reduction and meeting budgets
  • Delivery of major projects and teams to program and budget specifications
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management
  • People and performance management including the performance of subcontractors
  • Effective time management skills
