The role of a registered nurse at our care home is to provide high-quality patient care and support. Our nurses work in a dynamic team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve the best possible outcomes for residents. The position involves delivering person-centered care, conducting assessments, developing care plans, and implementing interventions to improve the well-being of residents.
As a key member of the care team, you will be responsible for promoting resident autonomy, dignity, and choice, while ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. You will also contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote safe and effective care practices.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care that meets the individual needs and preferences of each resident
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop comprehensive care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to enhance resident well-being
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for quality improvement and implement changes to optimize care delivery
- Engage in open and respectful communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
To succeed in this rewarding role, you must possess excellent clinical skills, a strong commitment to resident-centered care, and exceptional communication abilities. You should have current registration as a Division 1 Registered Nurse (AHPRA) and experience working in a similar setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualifications in gerontology or a related field
- Experience working with older adults and individuals with complex care needs
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
