Job Title: Furnaceman/Woman

We are seeking an experienced Furnace Pouring Operator to join our team in a Foundry warehouse located in Western Sydney.

As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating the auto-pour system and pouring molten iron into moulds. Your tasks will include preparing metal for casting and pouring, adhering to OH&S policies and procedures, and performing routine maintenance on equipment.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in foundry operation or a similar environment, with a strong mechanical aptitude and physical fitness for manual work. They will also possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pouring molten iron into moulds using the auto-pour system
  • Preparing metal for casting and pouring
  • Adhering to OH&S policies and procedures
  • Performing routine maintenance on equipment
  • General clean-up of the work area
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in foundry operation or a similar environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Physical fitness for manual work
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing situations
